A Journey Through Art and Film
I’m an artist, filmmaker, and educator with over 25 years of experience. My work explores memory, history, and stillness—especially within the context of the moving image.
My creative journey began in theatre during the 1990s, where I developed my craft as a director and playwright. That foundation continues to shape my work today across photography, film, visual design, and consultancy.
Experience and Expertise
Over the years, I’ve taken on many roles—filmmaker, photographer, director of photography, editor, and consultant—collaborating on a wide range of film productions. I’ve curated film clubs, programmed for the International Film Festival Future Of Film, and worked in radio as both producer and presenter of a weekly film show. My contributions to film criticism and academic discourse have appeared in various periodicals and journals.
My work has been exhibited and screened at festivals and institutions across the UK, Europe, and South America—including the Museum of Contemporary Art of Oaxaca, BBC Shorts, East End Film Festival, and the Venice Biennale.
Educator and Mentor
As an educator, I’m passionate about guiding the next generation of artists and filmmakers. I teach a variety of film-related courses, deliver fine art classes, and lead a year-long intensive in Expanded Experimental Film. My diverse experiences inform both my practice and my teaching, allowing me to bring a distinct, multidisciplinary perspective to every collaboration.
Consultation & Collaboration
I offer creative consultation and collaborative support for artists, filmmakers, and institutions seeking guidance or partnership on projects—whether at the initial idea stage or in post-production.
I’m also available for hire as a director, editor, or cinematographer on independent, experimental, and collaborative film projects. Whether you need a thoughtful eye behind the camera, a narrative-shaping edit, or directorial leadership, I bring a nuanced, experience-led approach to each production.
If you’re looking for input on visual storytelling, script development, editing, or curatorial support for screenings and exhibitions, I’d love to hear more.
For enquiries, collaborations, or to start a conversation, feel free to get in touch.
